The Tirupur Murugapalayam Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) in Tamil Nadu processes 10.9 million litres per day (MLD) of wastewater from its member dyeing units. This facility is crucial for managing the environmental impact of the textile industry. By repurposing treated effluent, it reduces reliance on freshwater resources, thereby conserving valuable resources and promoting sustainable water management practices.
